New Japan IWGP situation

With the IWGP heavyweight title vacated, New Japan's championship comittee was in turmoil over the handling of the situation. President Kusama announced a big 16-man single elimination tournament will be held to crown a new champion, and the span two shows with the first being this sunday, 9/26/2004. The 15 participants announced so far are as follows: - Hiroyoshi Tenzan - Yuji Nagata - Masahiro Chono - Manabu Nakanishi - Shinsuke Nakamura - Hiroshi Tanahashi - Katsuyori Shibata - Yutaka Yoshie - Blue Wolf - Osamu Nishimura - Koji Kanemoto - Tadao Yasuda - Kensuke Sasaki - Yoshihiro Takayama - Scott Norton - ??? The 16 participants will attend a drawing that will be held later to determine their positions in the brackets for the tournament. The final mystery particiapant (Rumoured to be Kazuyuki Fujita) will also be announced there. Antonio Inoki could not be reached for comment, cause appearantly he found God... ...and is now trying to convice the Pope to attend an MMA show for the Vatican!
