Real World Tag League 11/05 Results

All Japan kicked off it's 2004 Real World Tag League today. The opening match of the League saw defending RWTL champions Kojima & Hayashi defeat Honma & Miyamoto. Honma scored several near falls on Hayashi, but the former Jr. champion battled back with help from Kojima to score the win after a series of WA4s. Mitsuya Nagai made a triumphant return to AJPW next as he teamed with Triple Crown champion Toshiaki Kawada to defeat the RO&D team of Kea & Jamal. Nagai immediately called out big Jamal and immediately took it to the big man! Nagai showed alot of intensity, hitting two Hyper Knee Kugas on Kea before putting him away with the Falcon Arrow for the win! The next match in the League saw a huge upset as the Love Machines defeated the world tag team champion team of Nagata & KaShin! The tag champs dominated early on, but the Machines made the comeback and scored a shocking victory as Arashi pinned Nagata with a powerbomb! The Jr. Title was on the line next before the main event, with AKIRA defending the title barely a week after capturing it from Kazu Hayashi against Zero-One's Jun Kasai, who defeated Hayashi the day before AKIRA won the title. Kasai attacked hard from the opening bell, and even went back to his hardcore roots as they brawled out to the floor and Kasai whacked AKIRA over the head with a folding chair! Back in the ring, AKIRA rallied back and even kicked out of Kasai's goggles body press, but fell in the end to a jumping DDT! Kasai celebrated his title win by tossing bananas to the crowd! Suddenly, Ryuji Hijikata hit the ring. Hijikata said he'd be damned if he let a monkey walk around as All Japan Jr. champion and challenged for the title on 11/27 at the Sumo Hall! Kasai said he would only accept Hijikata's challenge if he accepted a banana from him and ate it! Hijikata took the banana, gulped it down and stormed off! The main event of the night saw four ring veterans in the ring! The Muga Team VS The 0-100 Team! Mutoh & Nishimura quickly went to work targeting Tenryu's leg, Mutoh using dragon screws, and Nishimura with the spinning toe hold. Fuchi came in and evened the score, giving Nishimura a dangerous backdrop! The match was back and forth till the final minute, where Tenryu had had enough, and just tried to avoid Nishimura, narrowly escaping a spinning toe hold as the time expired.
