Big shocker in todays NOAH show as Takuma Sano upset veteran Akira Taue in his first defence of the GHC Heavyweight Title to win the belt! Both men battled it out tooth and nail from the opening bell and seemed even matched. Taue hit a superplex early on for a near fall, and Sano battled back with a barrage of kicks. The action spilled out to the floor and Taue managed to counter several powerbomb attempts. Back in the ring Sano managed to hit a crucifix powerbomb on Taue's large frame, but the champion managed to kick out at 2. Taue would hit a double-arm suplex and make several attempts at the nadoa otoshi, but Sano would shock the Differ Ariake Arena by countering an attempt at a body slam into a small-package pin for the surprise win!
