Some big shocks on tonights TEN-KAI-ICHI finals as it was won by a dominant Tatsuhito Takaiwa beating AJ Styles in the finals! The first shocker came when Shinsuke "Z" Yamagasa won his first match of the league beating Ikuto Hidaka in a match Hidaka needed to win to be viable for the tie-breaker match with Murahama should AJ Styles be defeated by Yoshihito Sasaki. Yamagasa showed great determination and actually scored the pinfall on a shocked Hidaka with a top rope diving cross body attack! Yoshihito Sasaki then fell to AJ Styles in a hard fought battle, securing Styles into the tie-breaker with Murahama later in the show. Naohiro Hoshikawa defeated Dansyoku Dieno, but needed Minoru Fujita to beat Takaiwa to force a Block A tie-breaker match. It was not to be as Takaiwa totally dominated Fujita from the opening bell with serious ferocity, beating him in just under seven minutes! Takaiwa would no doubt be fresh and well rested, as both Styles and Murahama would have to work twice in one night before facing the former World-01 Jr. Champion. The match between Murahama and Styles was not as good as their previous match a few days back, but Styles showed got the win back from Murahama to advance to the finals. Both men looked tired going into this one, and one could only imagine Styles' condition going into the finals against a fresh Takaiwa. Styles was indeed fatigued as he took on Takaiwa in the finals, but he battled for all he was worth, trying to out-quick the powerhouse, but was eventually caught and powerbombed repeatedly. Styles survived the powerbombs, and a surprise hurricanrana, but was finally put away by a surprise cross-armed German suplex hold giving Takaiwa the win. ZERO-1 MAX “TEN-KAI-ICHI JR.
