NOAH 10/16 Card

The full card for NOAH's big Budokan show was announced today. 3 big title matches and two big tag matches top the card. Takeshi Rikioh will make his 2nd defense of the GHC heavyweight title in the main event against Dark Agents leader Akitoshi Saito. Rikioh commented he had full confidence in making a successfull defence, whereas Saito was confident he would bring the title home to the Dark Agents. The semi main event will see Akira Taue & Takuma Sano defend their GHC tag team titles against Takeshi Morishima and Mohammed Yone. The young team looking to topple the veterans to show that the younger generation are equal to the veterans. The third title match on the show sees KENTA making his first defense of the GHC Jr. heavyweight title against Makoto Hashi. KENTA had nominated Hashi for the title match as he had observed alot of improvement in him over the past few tours and feels he deserves it. He hoped Hashi would be unleashed and held nothing back in their match. NOAH ace Mitsuharu Misawa will team up with the legendary Genichiro Tenryu and the two will face the BURNING team of Kenta Kobashi & Tamon Honda. Kobashi commented that he looked forward to facing Tenryu in the ring again, as did Honda. The second big tag match on the card sees the STERNESS team of Jun Akiyama & Yoshinobu Kanemaru facing off against Minoru Suzuki & Naomichi Marufuji. The winning team being rumoured to be next in line to challenge for the GHC tag titles.
