Takeshi Rikioh overcame a tough challenge from Jun Akiyama to retain his GHC Heavyweight Title today. Akiyama took control early, battering Rikioh with jumping knee attacks and a high-angle Exploder. Akiyama hit a brainbuster for a near-fall before Rikioh rallied back with a short lariat and a diving body press for a near fall. Rikioh hit the Muso, but Akiyama got a foot on the ropes to break the count. Akiyama hit another high-angle Exploder for a near fall before Rikioh was able to hit another Muso to win the match.
