Masato Tanaka won the 2006 Fire Festival defeating Takao Omori in the finals. Omori made it to the finals after defeating Kazushi Miyamoto in a block decision match earlier in the night. Omori made short work of Miyamoto, but was overwhelmed by Tanaka in the finals.
