World Japan “STERNESS” – 1/15/2005 Differ Ariake – 1,200 Fans Tetsuhiro Kuroda beat Takashi Uwano in 16:28 with a judo hip throw. 69% Jinsei Shinzaki & MIKAMI beat Minoru Fujita & Dick Togo in 21:18 when MIKAMI pinned Fujita with a Swanton Bomb. 85% WMG Tag Team Titles: KRONIK beat Takao Omori & Shiro Koshinaka in 22:41 when Clark countered a powerbomb into a flip-over pin on Koshinaka. 75% Kuniyoshi Wada beat Makoto Hashi in 16:31 with the Daigoro Backdrop. 83% WMG Heavyweight Title: Steve Williams beat Jun Izumuda in 13:35 with an Avalanche Hold. 67% Jun Akiyama & Yoshinobu Kanemaru beat Riki Choshu & Tomohiro Ishii in 12:06 when Akiyama pinned Ishii with the wrist-clutch Exploder. 69% Show Notes: Omori & Koshinaka came close to beating KRONIK for the tag titles as Omori carried his team for the most part. Koshinaka was busted open by a hard right hand from Clark. Post match, Koshinaka apologized to Omori for dropping the fall, and promised to make up for it when they challenge for the Zero-One MAX World 01 Tag Titles. Kuniyoshi Wada pulled off what was considered a huge upset as he decisively defeated STERNESS’ Makoto Hashi, Wada controlling most of the match and showing a lot of fighting spirit kicking out of Hashi’s heavy offense. In his post match interview, Wada expressed interest in challenging for the GHC Jr title, since he had just beaten the No.2 Jr in STERNESS Things continued to look bad for STERNESS as Izumuda lost his WMG title match to defending champion “Dr. Death” Steve Williams. Despite a small flurry of offense, Izumuda was dominated for most of the match. Things finally turned around for STERNESS in the main event when Akiyama & Kanemaru made short work of Choshu & Ishii. The STERNESS team beat down Choshu and ejected him from the ring, but even more of a shocker was the appearance of Kenzo Suzuki! Suzuki took the mic and said he hopped Akiyama wasn’t leaving WJ yet to continue the STERNESS Excursion elsewhere, as he wanted to challenge the former GHC champion to a singles match! Akiyama thought about it for a minute, hinting he wouldn't take the match, but then accepted the match!
