Zero-One MAX “The Beginning” 1/16/2005 Tokyo Korakuen Hall Fuyuki Takahashi VS Ryuji Sai went to a 20:00 minute Draw. 65% Yoshiaki Fujiwara & Kazuhiko Ogasawara beat Yoshihito Sasaki & Kuroge Wagyuta in 22:33 when Ogasawara KO’d Sasaki with a head kick. 89% Tengu Kaiser beat King Joe in 14:01 with a spinning heel kick. 49% Steve Corino & CW Anderson beat Low Ki & Vansack Acid in 20:09 when Corino pinned Low Ki with a Diamond Cutter. 60% Hirotaka Yokoi & Jun Kasai beat Kintaro Kanemura & Tetsuhiro Kuroda in 17:54 when Kasai pinned Kuroda with a diving body press. 94% World 01 Junior Title Decision Match: Tatsuhito Takaiwa beat Naohiro Hoshikawa in 16:45 with a diving elbow drop pin. 76% World 01 Tag Titles Decision Match: Masato Tanaka & Wataru Sakata beat Takao Omori & Shiro Koshinaka in 20:42 when Tanaka pinned Omori with the Roaring Elbow Smash. 82% World 01 Heavyweight Title Decision Match: Kohei Sato beat Shinjiro Ohtani in 13:57 with a high-angle German suplex hold. 79% Show Notes: After going to a draw in the opener, Takahashi & Sai made a bond, and nominated themselves as the first challengers for the World 01 Tag Titles. Hoshikawa took a lot of punishment from Takaiwa in their Jr Title decision match, but showed a lot of fighting spirit kicking out of Takaiwa’s signature moves. Post match, Takaiwa said he had no problem giving Hoshikawa a rematch for the title. Tanaka & Sakata won a hard-fought match to win the World 01 tag titles. Omori took the fall this time, but seemed rather unhappy with Koshinaka as his partner and left before him after the match. Takahashi & Sai showed up in the middle of Tanaka & Sakata’s celebration to challenge them for the tag straps, and the leaders of the EROTICS army agreed to the match for a later date! Kohei Sato became the new champion beating Shinjiro Ohtani in the main event. The match was a very stiff and hard hitting affair as both traded hard strikes and take-downs. Ohtani congratulated Sato after the match and told him to represent Zero-One MAX proudly as champion and show the same fighting spirit in all his matches like the one here tonight. Most of the locker room also came out to congratulate Sato and Sato thanked the crowed and all his supporters for getting him where he is today.
