ZERO-1 6/12 Results - New Champion!

Steve Corino's reign as World-01 Heavyweight Champion has come to a quick end as he was defeated by Samoa Joe! Joe used his power to dominate most of the match early on, but Corino battled back with some desperate tactics like low blows and even struck Joe with a baseball bat on the outside! Corino managed to hit the Northern Lights Bomb at one point, but was too tired to make the cover. Joe fought back with big powerbombs eventually scored the win countering a second Northern Lights Bomb into his trademark Locomotion triple suplex for the win! The semi main event saw Masato Tanaka & Wataru Sakata successfully defend their World-01 Tag Team titles against the Jr. rudo team of Minoru Fujita & Dick Togo in a hard fought contest. Daisuke Ikeda was the mystery partner teaming with Yoshiaki Fujiwara, and defeated the team of Kohei Sato & Ryoji Sai when Ikeda pinned Sai with the Dai-chan Bomber. Ikeda then announced he would be participating in the upcoming Fire Festival as a representative of his FUTEN promotion. Sai was upset with the loss and says he will be looking for revenge soon. After multiple count-out loses over the past few weeks, Shinjiro Ohtani finally settled the score with Jun Kasai as he teamed with Naohiro Hoshikawa to beat Kasai & Kintaro Kanemura in a "no rules, anything goes" match. Unlike previous encounters however, probably knowing it wouldn't do him any good, Kasai kept the match in the ring and both sides battled it out for over 30-minutes before Ohtani scored the win with his trademark Dragon suplex hold.
