Samoa Joe became the No.1 Contender to Steve Corino's World-01 Heavyweight Title today after totally annihilating Hirotaka Yokoi in their No.1 Contender's Match. Joe dominated from early on, hitting power moves and tossing around Yokoi fairly easilly. Yokoi managed some take downs, but big Joe easilly powered his way out and continued his dominance to the end to win the match. Christopher Daniels pulled a big shocker as he defeated Tatsuhito Takaiwa to become the new World-01 Jr. Heavyweight Champion! Daniels took an early lead using his speed to avoid Takaiwa's power, and the two put on an interesting mat game before Daniels took control and dropped Takaiwa several times with suplexes and DDTs. Daniels hit the BME for a near fall before finishing off Takaiwa with the Angel's Wings for the surprise finish.
