NJPW 1/27/06 Results
Takao Omori is building momentum heading into the Sumo Hall for his defense of the IWGP tag team titles with Shiro Koshinaka against Masahiro Chono & Hiroyoshi Tenzan. Omori pulled off a huge upset in the semi-main event today, beating Hiroyoshi Tenzan in short order with a dragon suplex-hold after a barrage of piledrivers. Omori said he would consider challenging Brock Lesner for the IWGP heavyweight title after retaining the tag titles this Sunday, and may choose to confront Lesner as he's scheduled to be on the show.
