NJPW G1 Climax Day 3 results

Day 3 of the G1 Climax in Osaka got off to a really good started as Kanemoto and Yamamoto put on a hot competitive back and forth match. Yamamoto looked like he was about to pick up his first win in the G1, but Kanemoto was able to overcome the size difference and make Yamamoto submit to a grapevined ground ankle-lock. Manabu Nakanishi dominated Jushin Liger in the next match, just overpowering him and battering him from pillar to post before picking up the win with a backbreaker out of an Argentine backbreaker. Yuji Nagata continues his undefeated streak thus-far in the G1 after beating Togi Makabe in another competitive match. Makabe looked to be on his way to scoring a big upset, but Nagata was able to hold off Makabe's attacks and give him a big wrist-clutch Exploder followed by a backdrop-hold for the win. The rather lackluster main event of the night saw Giant Bernard totally decimate Hiroshi Tanahashi in the final G1 match of the night. Tanahashi was just unable to counters Bernard's size and power, and was put away by a big body press.
